MATIA (UWAP, 2024) Winner of the 2025 WA Premier's Book Award - Emerging Writer
At the 2025 Western Australian Premier's Book Awards it was announced that Matia is the winner of the Emerging Writer category! This is a huge honour for me. I'm so grateful to the judges, the State Library of Western Australia and my wonderful publisher, UWA Publishing.
As part of this year's WA Premier's Book Awards, there is going to be an afternoon at the State Library of WA dedicated to books on the shortlist! I’m really looking forward to being on the panel with other shortlisted debut authors as we speak
